14 - 16 years Opportunities

  • We are currently working with several local schools in the Norfolk/Suffolk area to offer hairdressing training to students in year 10 and 11.
  • We offer a range of City and Guilds courses for this age group; the choice of course is dependent on certain entry levels. (see course information for details).
  • Students will attend The Academy for either a half or full day (dependant on course), over a two year period. Those that attend our Young Apprenticeship course will also be required to achieve 50 days work experience in a salon. (The Academy will help to arrange this).
  • Students will achieve either a Level One or Level Two qualification.
  • Students will participate in both theory and practical lessons.

Please note:

  • Students will be expected to wear a uniform in the form of a tunic and black trousers or skirt. Tunics are available from The Academy.
  • Students will need some of their own hairdressing equipment, a list of what is needed and where it can be purchased from will be given to the students on induction. For further information please contact The Academy.
