The JO Academy offers a range of work based training courses.

If you would like to send your trainee hairdresser to train with us at the Academy please contact Susie Ball on
01603 886969 or email info@joacademy.co.uk to discuss your requirements.

All trainees are given an in depth induction into the Academy procedures and help them start into the Academy training. All trainees carry out an initial assessment so that we are able to identify their level of learning. From the results we are able to put them into theory training groups into their level of learning, whether it is fast tracking or a class with an assistant who is available for one to one training. The ratio for theory training is 1:14. Trainees will attend theory training one day a week, during term time, alongside in- salon practical training.

At ALI (Adult Learning Inspectorate) inspection in September 2005 we received an overall grade of 2
